Homent

Terms & Conditions

Last updated 29 August 2026

By creating an account or using Homent (including the website, admin tools, and family display), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you use Homent on behalf of a household, you confirm you are authorized to manage that family’s workspace and invites.

Homent is provided for personal and household coordination. You are responsible for the accuracy of content published to your board, for managing member and caregiver access, for keeping login credentials secure, and for any optional integrations you connect (such as Google Calendar).

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempts to access another family’s workspace, and no interference with security, pairing, or infrastructure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users.

Optional third-party services (for example Google Calendar) are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Homent is not responsible for those services’ availability or for data you choose to import from them.

The Homent family app is free forever. There is no subscription and no feature tier. Optional Care Sensors and delivery are sold separately at the price shown at checkout. Features may change; we will give reasonable notice when practical.

To the extent permitted by law, Homent is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service (including display downtime or sync delays). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Optional Care Sensors are consumer smart-home electronics for room presence (someone in or out of a room). Fall detection is optional and intended only when the kit can be mounted on a ceiling. They are not medical devices and not life-safety or life-protection systems under Hong Kong MDACS or otherwise. Presence and optional fall alerts can miss or falsely report events due to environment, placement, power, Wi‑Fi, or software connectivity; they do not guarantee 100% accuracy and must not replace human caregiving, clinical monitoring, or emergency response. You agree not to use Care Sensors for clinical diagnosis, disease treatment, medical-grade monitoring, or as the sole means of protecting vulnerable persons. To the extent permitted by law, Homent and its suppliers are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from missed alerts, false alerts, downtime, or reliance on Care Sensor data.

You must not reverse-engineer, crack, modify, or reflash Care Sensor (or other Homent-supplied device) firmware except as we expressly authorize. Unofficial firmware changes immediately terminate related SaaS connectivity and support for that device. To the extent permitted by law, Homent is not liable for hardware damage, overheating, fire risk, radio non-compliance, data loss, or safety incidents caused by unofficial firmware or unauthorized hardware modification.

Parts of the Care Sensor firmware and related software are based on open-source components (including ESPHome and its ecosystem), customized and integrated by Homent. We do not claim that device firmware was written entirely from scratch. Applicable open-source license notices are available on request at hello@homent.app.

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, unless mandatory local consumer protections say otherwise. For notices, disputes, feedback, or bug reports, contact hello@homent.app. We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page; continued use after the update date means you accept the revised terms.
